Cant frames, also referred to as bulb frames or bulb angles, are the frames located at the stern (rear) end of a ship. These frames are centered, meaning they rise obliquely from the keel, rather than being parallel to the keel. This design provides additional buoyancy and underwater lifting force, improving the overall stability and performance of the ship.
