Definition of Cargo

Cargo refers to the merchandise or goods that are accepted by a ship for transportation from one place to another.

For example, The cargo ship, SS Anchorage, docked at the harbor in New York City after a successful voyage transporting containers full of electronics, textiles, and other consumer goods from Asia to the United States.
