Definition of CPD

Charterers Pay Dues (CPD) refers to the financial obligations assumed by charterers in a maritime charter party agreement. For instance, in a charter party agreement for the carriage of grain, the charterers might agree to pay CPD for the hire of the chartering vessel, in addition to other charter party costs.
