The ‘Convention for Safe Containers’ (CSC) is an international treaty enacted to ensure the safety of containers during transportation. The CSC sets out minimum standards for the design, construction, testing, and repair of containers. For instance, a shipping company must ensure that every container it uses is CSC compliant before loading it with cargo.
