Days all Purposes (DAPS) refers to the total number of days allotted for the completion of loading and discharging operations on a ship. For instance, in a given shipping contract, the parties may agree to a DAPS of 25 days, allowing for a reasonable amount of time to complete all loading and discharging tasks.
