Nautical Term: ENOA

Definition of ENOA

An Electronic Notice of Arrival (ENEA) is a digital communication sent by a ship to the port authorities, advising of the ship’s anticipated arrival time at the port.

For example, the master of a container ship en route to the Port of Los Angeles sends an ENOA to the port’s traffic control center, providing the estimated time of arrival at the port, allowing the port authorities to make necessary preparations for the ship’s arrival.
