Definition of IAPH
The International Association of Ports and Harbors, commonly referred to as IAPH, is an international organization comprised of over 170 port authorities from 95 countries. IAPH’s mission is to promote sustainable port development, enhance cooperation among its members, and provide a platform for knowledge exchange and capacity building.
For example, in a press release, IAPH announced that it had partnered with the European Commission’s Horizon 2020 program to develop a new technology platform for port automation and optimization. The collaboration is expected to lead to significant improvements in port efficiency, productivity, and sustainability.
