Definition of ITF
The International Transport Workers’ Federation (ITF) is an international labor organization representing workers in the transport sector. The ITF’s mission is to advance and protect the interests of transport workers globally.
For example, if a group of seafarers on a container ship were not being paid their wages, the ITF would intervene on behalf of the seafarers to help resolve the dispute and ensure that the seafarers receive the wages they are owed.
