Definition of Mold

Mold, refers to a specific pattern or template used to create an object. It can also describe a particular shape of metal or wood, which acts as a form or matrix over or in which an object may be shaped or formed. For instance, a shipbuilder might use a wooden mold to shape the hull of a boat.
