Definition of Molded breadth

Molded breadth is the maximum width of a vessel, measured from the heel of the frame on one side to the heel of the frame on the other side.

For example, in constructing a ship, the molded breadth would be an essential measurement to ensure the hull’s structural integrity and watertight seal.
