Definition of ELVENT

Electric Ventilation refers to the use of electrically powered fans for the purpose of ventilating enclosed spaces, particularly those on vessels. For instance, during hot weather, the electric ventilation system in a ship’s engine room could help maintain a comfortable temperature for the crew, while preventing the buildup of excessive heat that could potentially damage the engine or other equipment.
