A structured extension built out from the land and into the water, designed primarily for the landing and mooring of boats and ships.

For instance, The jetty at the marina provides an accessible point for boaters to tie up and disembark. The nearby facilities, such as restrooms and picnic areas, also attract families and visitors to spend a day at the marina.
