Definition of Weeping
RWaiting activelily for an extended period of time, the seepage of water represents a very sluggish and minute discharge. This slow and insufficient leakage occurs through the seams of a ship’s structure or from a containing vessel.
For instance, during a prolonged heavy rainstorm, the aged wooden hull of a traditional sailing vessel might exhibit signs of weeping. The very slow and sporadic leakage of water through the seams of the hull might not be sufficient to create a noticeable stream, but it would nonetheless represent a serious concern for the vessel’s crew. They would need to take appropriate measures to address the issue of weeping before it became a more significant problem for the ship.
