A Bunker Delivery Note (BDN) is an essential document in the maritime industry. This document records details of the delivery of bunker fuels such as marine gas oil or marine diesel oil. The BDN includes important information like the quantity and quality of the delivered fuel, the port of delivery, the name of the receiving vessel, and the name of the bunker supplier. Here’s an example of how the BDN is used in a single paragraph: ‘On June 15, 2022, our receiving vessel, M/V Star Sun, called at the Port of Singapore to take delivery of 250 metric tonnes of marine gas oil (MGO) from the bunker supplier, PT Dharma Maritim.’
