Definition of CAM

A Court Appointed Monitor (CAM) is an impartial third party, appointed by a court, to oversee and ensure compliance with certain orders or agreements. For instance, in a case involving environmental violations, a CAM might be appointed to supervise the implementation of the court’s decree on the corrective measures to be taken.
