Definition of Frame station(s)
Frame stations(s) refer to specific points where transverse frames or floors are situated on a ship. These stations are marked on the baseline, with numbering starting from zero at the aft perpendicular. Numbering continues until it reaches or goes beyond the forward perpendicular. Frame stations abaft the aft perpendicular are numbered negatively.
For example, in the context of shipbuilding, The hull of our new ship is being assembled at the shipyard. The transverse frames or floors, which provide additional strength and stability to the hull, are being installed at frame stations numbered from zero to fifty.
