Sister hooks refer to a pair of identical, reversed hooks used in tandem for securing mooring lines or anchors.
For instance, when a yacht needs to anchor, the crew may deploy sister hooks. They would attach the shank end of one hook to the anchor chain, while the other hook, with its shank end reversed, would be attached to the mooring line or buoy. In this manner, sister hooks help to secure both the anchor and the mooring line, ensuring the stability and safety of the yacht.
