Twenty-foot Equivalent Unit (TEU) is a standard measurement used in container transport. This measurement is based on the dimensions of a standard 20-foot container, which is 20 ft long, 8 ft wide, and 8.5 ft high.
For instance, a cargo ship with a capacity of 10,000 TEUs can carry 10,000 containers, each with the same dimensions as a standard 20-foot container.
