:Treenails are lengthy, wooden pins that are utilized in place of traditional nails or spikes, when securing the planking of a wooden vessel to its frames. For instance, during the construction of a historic ship, the carpenter may choose to use treenails instead of modern nails, to ensure an authentic and traditional build.
