Definition of CONCAWE
Concawe, or the European Organisation for the Environment, Health and Safety of the Oil Industry, is an association comprised of major oil companies operating in Europe. The primary objective of Concawe is to foster a sustainable and safe oil industry through the implementation of environmental and health and safety policies and best practices.
For instance, In light of growing concerns over the environmental impact of oil drilling, Concawe has recently released a new set of guidelines aimed at reducing the carbon footprint of oil drilling operations in Europe. These new guidelines, which will be mandatory for all Concawe member companies, include measures such as the implementation of energy-efficient technologies, the optimization of logistics and supply chain operations, and the promotion of the use of renewable energy sources in oil drilling operations.
