Definition of CSR

:Continuous Synopsis Record (CSR) is a comprehensive nautical log that includes continuous and annotated records of navigational data, meteorological information, and other relevant details.

For instance, a CSR may be utilized in the following context: During the early hours of the 3rd of July, we encountered a severe storm while sailing in the Atlantic Ocean. According to our CSR, the storm consisted of heavy rainfall, lightning strikes, and sustained winds of over 50 knots. We were forced to drop our sails and seek shelter in the lee of a nearby island until the storm had passed.
