Nautical Term: FIOSLSD
Definition of FIOSLSD
Free In/Out Stowed, Lashed, Secured, and Dunnaged (FIOSLSD) refers to the cost incurred when cargo is stowed, lashed, secured, and dunnaged to the master’s satisfaction. This term is an extension of the Free In/Out (FIO) term, which covers only the cost of handling the cargo between the ship and the shore.

However, the contract would also specify that the cost of stowing, lashing, securing, and dunnaging the cargo (FIOSLSD) would be the responsibility of the shipping company. Thus, the total cost of the contract would be the sum of the cost of transportation, handling, and various other expenses, as well as the cost of stowing, lashing, securing, and dunnaging the cargo (FIOSLSD).
