Definition of Head room

Head room refers to the vertical measurement of the space between the decks, as well as the space below the decks. For instance, when planning the renovation of a historic sailing ship, the interior designer would need to consider the available head room when making decisions about the placement of new cabinets, beds, or other furniture.
