Definition of LL

Load Line refers to the line marked on the side of a ship indicating the maximum permissible load for that specific vessel. For instance, in the context of a ship’s cargo operations, the master or the cargo superintendent would ensure that the ship’s load line is not exceeded before loading any cargo onboard.
