Definition of Plan
A detailed and precise drawing or set of drawings, designed to serve as a guide for the construction of a ship. The plan includes specifications for the dimensions, materials, and arrangement of various components of the ship.
Example: The naval architect presented the ship owner with a set of detailed plans for the construction of a new cargo vessel. The plans included a design for a triple-expansion steam engine, specifications for the hull material and dimensions, and a layout for the arrangement of the cargo holds and the ship’s accommodations.
