Definition of LOA

The Length Overall (LOA) of a vessel refers to the measurement of the entire length of the watercraft, including the bow, the stern, and all the structures in between. For instance, a sailboat with an LOA of 35 feet would be considered a relatively large recreational sailing vessel.
