Definition of LPG
Liquefied Petroleum Gas, frequently referred to as LPG, is a type of flammable hydrocarbon gas that is stored and transported in its liquid state. This gas is typically composed of propane and butane. LPG carriers are vessels specifically designed to transport and store large quantities of liquefied petroleum gas.
Example: The MV Everest, a state-of-the-art LPG carrier, recently arrived at the port of Rotterdam. The vessel, which has a capacity to carry over 30,000 cubic meters of liquefied petroleum gas, will be offloading its cargo to be transported to various industries, such as heating, food processing, and petrochemicals.
