Definition of Breadth, registered

The term ‘Breadth, registered’ refers to the maximum width of a vessel, measured amidships at the point where the outside of the plating reaches its greatest extent.

For example: The cruise ship ‘Grandeur of the Seas’ has a registered breadth of 106.5 feet (32.5 meters).
