Definition of Head

(1) The front or bow section of a vessel. (2) A term used to describe the toileting facilities aboard a vessel, most commonly used in the context of smaller craft.

For example, The sailor was feeling seasick and needed to use the head. He made his way to the small bathroom area located near the bow of the vessel.
