Definition of LNG carrier
: A specialized seagoing vessel engineered to safely transport and deliver natural gas in its liquefied form, known as LNG.
For example, in the global energy market, an LNG carrier might be chartered by a utility company in Europe, to transport LNG from an LNG export terminal in the United States. Upon arrival at the European port, the LNG carrier would offload the LNG and deliver it to the European utility company for regasification and distribution to end-users.
