Definition of Neptune

Neptune, in mythology, is the god of the sea. He is often depicted wielding a trident, a symbol of his power over the sea.

Example: During the voyage across the Atlantic, the sailors faced a massive storm. They called upon Neptune, the god of the sea, to calm the stormy waters. Suddenly, the winds died down, and the sea became calm once again. The sailors praised Neptune for his power and protection.
