Definition of SB

Safe Berth refers to a specific location at a shoreline where a vessel can securely anchor or moor. This ensures the safety of the vessel and its crew, as well as protecting the surrounding environment.

For example, a captain might radio to the harbor master, Requesting Safe Berth at pier 12. The harbor master would confirm the berth was available and safe for the vessel to moor.
