Definition of WOG

Without Guarantee, also known as WOG, is a term used in the maritime industry to denote a cargo or voyage without any contractually binding assurances or guarantees.

For instance, when a shipper offers a cargo for shipment on a WOG basis, it means that the cargo is being transported without any formal or legally binding agreements in place between the shipper and the carrier.
