Receivers, also referred to as RCVRs, are essential nautical components responsible for receiving and decoding navigational signals. For instance, in a maritime navigation context, a ship’s Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver, denoted as an RCVR, consistently listens for GPS signals, calculates the ship’s position, and ultimately, aids the crew in safely navigating the waters.
