Definition of COB

Close of Business, commonly referred to as COB, represents the last business hour of a trading day in various financial markets. For instance, in the context of stock markets, if COB falls on 4 p.m., then all trades that have been executed on or before 4 p.m. will be considered valid for the trading day.
