Turnaround time refers to the duration between the moment a ship arrives at a port and the instant it departs from the same port. Here’s an example:

Due to unexpected weather conditions, the cargo ship Santana was forced to prolong its stay at the Los Angeles port. The turnaround time for the Santana, from its arrival to its departure, took an additional three days to complete.
