Definition of Bending rolls
Bending rolls refer to a large machinery used to impart a curvature to plates. This is accomplished by passing the plates in contact with three rolls. The application of bending rolls is common in various industries such as shipbuilding and metal fabrication. For instance, in a shipbuilding yard, large plates are passed through bending rolls to give them the desired curvature for constructing the hull of a ship.
