Nautical Term: DHDATSBE

Definition of DHDATSBE

When a vessel requests half demurrage due to actual time saved at both ends of the loading or discharging process, the term Dispatch Half Demurrage on Actual Time Saved Both Ends should be used.

For example, during the loading process of a cargo ship, the vessel’s captain discovers that his crew has managed to load the cargo faster than anticipated. As a result, the ship saves actual time during the loading process, and the captain dispatches a request for half demurrage based on the actual time saved.
